On Saturday August 2 in the auditorium of National Radio, took place a meeting of the movement of intellectuals, educators, journalists, teachers, researchers, artists, men and women of culture known as "Open Letter from Santa Fe Province." It is the first after the presentation, July 11, in the South Hall of the seat of government of the Universidad Nacional de Rosario.
With a large attendance, about one hundred and fifty people from diverse professional fields, we reaffirm our willingness to strengthen this area, emerged in the heat of conflict with agricultural employers, around which an armed recognize the neoliberal right, which attempts to introduce a shift to regressive policies nationwide.
We pledge to firmly support the legitimate government elected by our people, from a critical perspective, policies which seek to destabilize it. Support in particular all those government policies aimed at a fairer distribution of wealth (after recoil operated under the State terrorism and the advance of neoliberalism), the defense and deepening of the social gains and human rights, all national policies that emphasize the historical memory and promote the trial and punishment of genocide.
believe that the movement "Open Letter" gathers and becomes visible to those with diverse backgrounds divergent policies and ideas, agree on a national project to promote greater justice and solidarity, thus enhancing the scattered actions that each of us does in this direction, and generating an enunciation device capable of expressing a multiplicity of voices hitherto unheard . Scope reflective, critical, pluralistic forum for discussion of ideas, search for joint action to implement them. From "An Open Letter From Santa Fe Province" appeals to men and women who inhabit the space of culture, understanding the policy as integral to the field and the construction of meaning as a valuable tool in dispute. Although
is a provincial movement, given the geographical spread of our province, we promoted instances are located, although related. In this regard, we reported that on Saturday August 9th will be the presentation of "Open Letter" in the city of Santa Fe, with the presence of fellow north of the province and all willing and able to go from here.
In Rosario we will continue as usual with general group meetings, with a pattern of horizontal organization, touching specific points previously agreed to take shape and begin work on commission. Always starting from an analysis of national problems, we interests focus on the uniqueness of our province, where in recent months have witnessed expressions of outright hostility to the Government and the distributive measures driven by him. Among others by the provincial government itself, several deputies and three senators who voted against the Santa Fe project sanctioned Deputies sliding tax.
